Intrepid problem
I just changed a 2oo1 intrepid over to a 3.2, very easy exchange if you have all the parts,,,car starts and runs fine, then came a truck load of fault codes,, alot of low voltage to the throttle positioner and map sensor,,,I found the wires going to the a/c pressure switch rubbing against the pulley,, fixed that now no more codes,,,now the car will start fine run nice,, but when it get,s warmed up it will just quit,,,temperature guage not even half way up,,,,let the car set for awhile and it will start and go again ,,,,anyone ever had this problem,,,,

I didn't buy it. I figured it had to have something to due with the heat. Yes they checked the crank shaft position sensor... well they tested it for electrical contact and of course it had electricity running through it. But I used a hair dryer and placed the heat right on the crank shaft position sensor it's self and the car wouldn't start at all. Then I placed an ice cube on it and the car started and ran forever. I then placed the hair dryer on it again and within a minute the car died.
So I figured I must be the greatest mechanic in the world by fixing my car for $99.00 saving me $3400. out of the $3500. the dealer tried to steal from me.
Check the crank shaft position sensor, some cars have a cam shaft position sensor. My Jeep Cherokee did the same thing and I replaced the cam shaft position sensor in the distributor and it was fixed.
