Default Air Conditioner

My heating/cooling system is messed up. I have added antifreeze thinking that was the problem. In the winter time, you freeze to death and in the summer time you burn up. It pumps out air but it is neither warm air or cold air. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Is this fixable? If so, is it expensive?

Hi codecu, if I were you I'd take it to an AUTO ELECTRIC SHOP in you area, explain the problem you're having. They'll give you an estimation as to how much it will cost, put it on a scope, or an ampmeter and trace where your problem is.

i cant explain the bad heater but i had a bad evaporator which made my A/C not work. so i went to the dealer they wanted $1200 to fix it. well i don't have the money so i went to my local meijers and picked up something called super seal for like 25 bucks + refrigerant. it actually worked. now it cost me 60 bucks total to get my A/C back and i don't make much money so $60 bucks alot for me to take a risk on working.

Check if you have flow to your heater core. Also see if your radiator hoses are firm when the engine is warm (be careful contents inside hose are hot) and if there is no pressure in either line you have a bad thermostat. You could also have a clogged radiator core. How many miles do you have on the car?
