Default 3.2 Head Removal Misc Questions

I am changin the head gaskets on this motor. I have a couple of VERY rookie questions.

How does the tension get applied/released on the A/C belt?

Any tips on what you do with the huge wiring loom that goes all the way from the left font around to the right back corner of the motor to get it out of the way?

Thanks for all of your help with the project!!

Unplug everything and move the wire harness out of the way.

Tensioner should have a nut to loosen then turn a bolt at least that's what I remember on my 3.5. my 2.7 have to loosen a bolt then use a breaker bar to take off spring tension.

Default Thanks Again

I am thinking I am going to just try to move all of the wiring over to the left side of the car.

I LOVE the room these cars have in the inside but man do they have everything packed into the engine compartment!!

On the main belt it looks like there is a slider kind of bolt that would move the tension pulley in and out to put pressure on the belt. On the AC one though I am just not seeing it. Is it the bottom pulley that you would need to use the breaker on?

thnaks again for your help. I'm not sure why I never thought to look for service manuals but HOLY COW that thing is awesome!!
