Haha,

No need to pull the power steering pump. 3 bolts hold the alternator in. 13mm I think. You can get to them from the front. There is a wiring plug on the back and a 10mm nut that holds the hot wire on. I just pulled the alternator last night but we have the raditor out. It may be difficult with the raditor still in the car.

Good luck!

Dee,

Put your meter (I assume you mean a multi-meter/volt ohm meter) on the battery with the engine not running then again with the engine running. What do you read with the engine off? What do read with the engine running? If no change, I suspect one of 3 things:
1) the hot wire on the back of the alternator (under the 10mm nut) is not connected
2) there is a break in the hot wire
3) the alternator is bad

If you get a higher reading with the engine running, I suspect the battery is bad.

It's really hard to diagnose without being there.

Post back with the above answers and I will try to work through them.

Danny
