Default 2.7L 2000 dodge intrepid

I have a 2000 dodge intrepid, and recently it was giving me a problem where cruising at 60 to 70 the rpms would drop to zero and the car would stall and die. waiting 5 to 20mins then it would start back up.

Everyone i asked was telling me fuel pump. I checked a few sites and it mentioned camshaft position sensor. Which i changed this weekend it was running fine until this morning when i put gas in it. Again crusing at 60 to 70 the rpms dropped again. Could this be the crankshaft position sensor now? I have one of those on order O'Rileys gave me the right box with the wrong part in it.

The only code that i noticed it giving out was i believe p1674 something about the battery being disconnected with in the last 50 starts which it hasn't Could it be a bad cell? and would that cause this car to do what it's doing?

Or hell could it even be the fuel filter?

any help would be much appreciated!

Dude, had almost the same issues, search my thread here. I thought it was the fuel pump too- nope. Anyways, I chaged both the crank shaft and position sensor, and the oil sensor. Then I changed those evac/air hoses - aft of the engine, which at first glance didn't seem worn, but up close, and removal were pretty old in my 1999 Intrepid, very brittle. Another issue may or may not be, when replacing the sensors, which happened to me, I think I knocked something else loose, or it wasn't threaded correctly. rockauto.com is the bomb when it comes to ordering parts with about 30-40% cheaper. I also ended up getting a new battery, and cleaning up all the connections. Again, at first glance, it looked "ok", but when I got in there with a brush, and replaced one of the cables, I was back in business! Hope this helps,
Eric
