i have a 2000 intrepid that has a gremlin in the wiring.when the car is idling the dash lights will flicker and the interior lights blink on and off by themselves, the radio will blink out by itself, it also does this while driving down the road more frequntly. i guessed the alt. might be bad but wanted to check with a shop first. also when driving at night after about 15miles the battery light comes on. i took it to a shop and they said the alt. was overcharging he replaced the neg. battery cable but that didnt fix it thats when he said the alt. was overcharging but he wanted 300 to fix it i did it for 110 myself. but it still didnt fix the problem i have heard it might be a relay or one of a few computer boxes......any suggestions? i love this car it has 266xxx miles and gets a quart of lucas every oil change runs like a champ minus the electrical gremlin. i do have a multimter but am very novice with them at trouble shooting????

I have the same exact problem with everything that you have mentioned. I wonder have you ever found out the problem? Does anyone in this forum have a suggestion on what the problem maybe?

 

Ive changed my alternater starter 3 batterys. terminals down to thrmostat housing pump all of it and my car still is draining the battery what do i do Im sick Of spending money for them to tell me oh its the battery no **** its not Im seriously wondering id=f dodge is screwing everyone over and taking there money they did me and look Im still in the same situation Help why is my car draining the battery and bcause of this I have to spend more money Im a mom not rich Im poor wtf do I do

 

I had the same problem with my 2001 intrepid. For 12 bucks at the junkyard I fould a head light/ dome lamp switch and swapped it out and it cured the problem.

 

My Intrepidd won't start unless I unplug the cam positioner. I put a new cam sen. & pcm
