Default 1998 Intrepid Wheel Hub Nut Size

Does anyone know what size the nut on that holds the wheel hub on the drive axel is?

Using my micrometer I estimate it to be about a 1 1/4 maybe 1 3/16.

I assumed this was not a standard nut since nothing else appears to be on the car (and I have gone deep into this car) so I did the conversion and estimated between 32 and 33mm 32 is to small. The strange part is, every place I go for a socket will go from 32mm straight to 36mm.

Anyway, if anyone knows exactly what it is I'd love to be enlightened. As a last resort I am going to call the local Dodge dealer.

Thanks as always for all the great help on this forum!!

On my car it's 1 5/16 or like 34mm. Every autoparts store I deal with has this size, so does harbor freight, Sears, and probably your local home improvement store.

on my 98 its a 34mm. I just replaced my front wheel bearing hubs and that was the size needed to remove the axle nut.
