Default Intrepid Transmission help

I have an '01 Intrepid R/T 3.5L. The transmission set a code and the car went to limpin mode. The solenoid pack and in and out speed sensors were replaced. Now the car has intermittent shift problems. The problem occurs both up and down. It will shift very hard not all the time. It is also very noisy shifting into drive when hot. No new codes are in the computer. I don't know if this is part of it or not, but there is also a loud intermittent whistle coming from the back of the motor on the passenger side. I have tried to locate it with a mechanics stethoscope but I cannot get to the back of the motor. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. I searched the forums for similar problems but nothing seemed to match so forgive me if I missed a post.

Thanks

when the check engine light first came on, what exactly was the code? P0700 or something like that?

P0700 and p1776 I think. I know they said the second code was for the solenoid pack. I can't remember what it was.
