Unhappy -Fixing to buy a 1999, but the fuel pump has went out-

okay so im fixing to buy a 1999
they say they have rebuilt the engine in the last year
but the fuel pump has went out
does a car still start in this case?
they only want 1000$ or best offer is this worth it even?
helpp pleaseee!!!!

No it does not run with dead fuel pump.
A car that doesnt run worth almost nothing. Even in a public Auction.
Because u really can't tell what else does it need for it to be safe to drive if it doesnt even run.
Rebuilt trans doesnt make it's value go up much. You can get a trans rebuilt in a reputatble trans shop for $1500 - $2,000

What engine size? if it is a 2.7l, do NOT take it even if it is free. if it is a 3.2l or 3.5l, it might worth a shot.

But on the other hand, $1000 can't really buy u much anyway. If you are going for this car, Plan ahead and have at least $2000 for emergency break down fund if you want to keep this car for few yrs.
