Hi i am new to this forum and would like to wish everyone a happy holidays. let me start i start by saying that i started out changing the water pump. i ended up doing head gaskets due to sludge in the valve train. also changed the oil pump and both primary and secondary chain and the guides also changed the tensioner last year.

Just got p1391 code changed the cam sensor it went away for about a month changed the crank sensor and went away for for about a week changed the cam sensor again and now it wont start.

Wanted to check to make sure the chain tensioner did not fail and all looks good there is no sludge in the valve area and the chain is lined up with the marks. here are some pics of the marks. the right cam did not come out couldn't see the marks on the chain or gear.. I am open for any suggestions before i put it back together please.

 

Since no one has any suggestions i'm going to put it back together and see what i get.

 

OK I got it back together and it still wouldn't start so i put the old cam sensor back in and it starts up. when it starts the rpm goes to 2k and drops down and when it idles it acts like there is a cylinder is misfiring. going to try the IAC and flush the Eng with kerosene a couple of times to ensure there is no sludge in the passages.

 

Before i spend almost $100.00 for the Idle Air Control valve(IAC) i was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions about this problem. The car seams to have a miss while idling. and its not all the time its like a hiccup and it is idling rough. Can anyone help me please this car is driving me nuts.
