The transmission on my brother's 2002 300M (the sister car to the Intrepid) has been acting up. When he uses the autostick mode it will sometimes shutter when coming to a complete stop at about 5 MPH and it has stalled once doing that. When it is is Auto it feels weak like you're not getting the full effect of the power the motor is giving. Also it shifts weird, it shifts similarly to the way the transmission shifts in the middle of winter when the fluid is cold even though it is the middle of summer. On top of this, it is the most noticeable is when going from 2nd to 3rd the motor has to be up to at least 2500 or up to 3000 RPMs most times until it will go into 3rd and often you have to let off the accelerator to get to change gears. Lastly it does seem like the motor will start to rev up a bit and go back down even when driving a steady speed sometimes but not often. I heard it could be the transmission pump, a solenoid packet, speed sensor, or even the torque converter. Any info would be appreciated, thank you.
