Default Coolant boiling out, please help!

Howdy,
I have a 2001 Intrepid. The other night after work it overheated after dropping off a coworker. It was late so I pushed it into his driveway and had him give me a ride home. So I go over there today and the coolant is empty, so I filled it with water. I let it heat up until the thermostat opened and checked for leaks. Didn't see any. Drove it home (about 15mins) and it ran fine, no overheating. Park it in the driveway and as soon as I shut it off, steam and water come pouring out of the fill tank. I think the thermostat is ok because both upper and lower hoses were hot.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check out the radiator cap. Make sure your fan is coming on. Other possibilities could be your head gasket or head, but I would start small first!
