My 2004 intrepid sometimes wont start if i wait 10 min or use my remote start then it starts this happens at least 4 times per day its driving me crazy . Every time i go to the dealer he says if its not doing it they cant find it, any help would be great thanks for any wisdom please help.

 

What do you mean, no cranking or cranking but not firing up?

 

Kurts2 Thanks for the reply it cranks but no starting if i wait it will start in about 10 min or so. if i use my remote start it will start, after it starts the light on the dash flashes for a min or so. thanks bigdogdad

 

Sounds like a security key issue or bad BCM. I think I remember reading that the light flashes after a suspected security breach to let you know. Additionally, if you do have the chip key(I don't have that headache ) , I'd lean towards the key/wire/however the key is read over the BCM because the remote start d/n fail. Ask the dealer for details... once you get them an idea, they may be able to at least let you know if this is a plausible idea.
