Ive got a 2000 dodge intrepid, 2.7. The engine blew. Swapped it with an 04. It runs but has several problems. It has a starting delay. Guess its running on default. I think the egr isnt functioning properly too. I know all this has to do with the computer and the engine not in sync. Id rather not use the 04 computer cause ive heard that swapping the wiring harness sucks. My question is, is there an easy fix? Instead of changing the computer can i switch the chip with the 04? Perhaps there is a performance chip i could purchase cheaply?
