Default 2.7 non-egr engine swap to an egr caro

wanting to put a 2002 non egr 2.7 into a 2000 intrepid
Both motor/tranny/subframe assemblys are out and I see they are not harness plug and play compatable. Unfortunately I've already scraped the wrecked 02...I did snag its ecm but that's it...so I'm thinking of going to the wrecking yard and getting the rest of the engine bay wiring harness back to and including the bcm. What I question is will a 2002 bcm plug into and comunicate with a 2000 dash/instruments etc. To further clarify what I'm trying to do and why, The 02 cam timing has more overlap and doesn't need egr...therefore I'm resistant to switching exhaust manifolds/cam ring/flexplate, not to mention the differing knock sensors.

me again.. well if anyone is curious, it can be done. I went to the local wrecking yard for the wiring harness out of a 2002 back to and including the BCM. got the car all buttoned up and fired today. it runs, no problems! it now thinks it's a car from the wrecking yard because of the BCM swap
