2001 Intrepid Fuse Problem
I was attempting to install a new stereo into my Intrepid when stupidity struck. The ground wire of the new stereo touched another wire from the power wires to the car (yes, I attempted installing without a harness.. I told you stupid) and blew some fuses.
The annoying dinging when your keys are left in the car has stopped. (a blessing?) And I cannot use the remote to lock the doors or set the alarm. The really strange part, while the keys are in the ignition & turned to the on position, the remote works. That eliminates the battery in the remote.
I immediately replaced the 10amp fuse in the radio/cell spot because it was popped. Now I am stuck tracking down which fuse or relay is causing the remainder of my problem. I even thought that disconnecting the battery for a minute or so may reset my problem. When I did that, I noticed that when I reconnected the negative to the post, the horn didn't go off.
I ran a computer scan with no results, which made me happy.
As I said, I am 98% sure it's a relay or fuse, I just don't know which one.
Any Help will be appreciated!
Thanks!
