Should I replace the Ceramic brakes on my 99 LHS
After having some work on my brakes for being not as responsive as I am used to, my mechanic informed me the reason is the previous owner apparently used Ceramic breaks. So far I hate them. It takes more pedal travel before they respond. They feel like they are tempermental. I have heard a rumor that if they get too hot from excessive breaking that they can turn to glass. Is this true? The only advantage that I have heard is that they last longer than semi-metallics but I never even had to replace the semi-metallics on my 02 Intrepid ES so I fail to see the advantage.
Also, is there any reason I should stick with these breaks or should I go ahead and replace them with semi-metallics which I have always been happy with before hand?
