Default 3.2 Oil Cooler Pressure Control Valve Leak

This is a swivel "T" between the block and oil pressure switch (sending unit) to feed oil through the radiator for cooling. The leak is in the swivel. This $200 part (5014313AB) supposedly has a quick disconnect feature, but haven't figured how that happens (hoping an O-ring might fix it).
I'm questioning the effectiveness of this cooling system and just capping it off, installing the pressure switch directly into the block. Any words of wisdom? -Jeff

I wouldn't disabled it but if you wanted to rig it maybe hose and some clamps? I have never "rigged" this area before, but have done so in others (to include the fuel line) in the past.
