2.7 problems
Hello just to let you know up front that if you read this it's probably gonna be confusing because I am confused myself so bare with me. Story begins with the infamous water pump change ordered a pump off eBay from some company (mitzimuto) or somewhere like that anyway the pump I ordered leaked as bad as the one I took off trying to save a few bucks by buying it now can't send it back so bought one from autozone it worked. Now at that point I was in the motor twice without problems then I hear this clicking when I hand cranked the motor to get oil to and slack out for the primary tensioner bought several tensioners even bought the stop block still have the click? Also after tearing the thing down so many times I think I bent the valves thinking to replace heads so I pulled the left head(drivers side) because I believe the valves are bent just wondering if lash adjusters on this motor will cause valve tick on right cam bank when engine rotates and should I just replace the heads? Also while heads are off is it okay to turn crank to 60° atdc then align heads with their dots and links lined up and will that be correct timing. I am posting pictures of the pistons so anyone looking can let me know if they contacted the valves.Thanks in advance for any help or ideas. I know upfront that these cars have problems but I love my car it's been faithful and honest and I want to take care of her. The image of the heads what I am looking at is the third one from the left looks like there are marks on that piston head please let me know if that's what contact looks like then the other pic is of head with valves showing does it look just at a glance that the valves have been bent? just to image of my crank and it looks like the timing is off so what can be done at this point to correct my issues
