2002 intrepid shift hard around 40-50 MPH

car drives fine until I hit around 40 miles an hour then it shifts really hard when I am cruising but if I have the fuel pedal down building up speed quickly it shifts fine. Any thought?

Mileage? Any transmission work done?

15000 miles only thing that has been done is oil and filter change every 30000 miles and the seniors have been change within the last year
