Default Crashed My Intrepid Need New Harness

I crashed my 2003 Dodge Intrepid about a year ago. I took to a auto repair shop that was able to completly fix my car for a low price. One of the parts that I damaged was wiring harness. The entire harness is intact; the only part that is broken is the port that connects to the computer. The body shop was unable to find a replacement harness. And when I tried to go to the dealer and they told me that the entire harness was about $900. Ive tried calling junkyards, but I havent been able to find the part. I dont even know if Im getting ripped off with the $900 dollar price tag. Can I buy just the section that I need and then splice the wires together? If the auto body shop couldnt fix the problem who can I take the car too? I really want to start driving my car again. What can I do?

i was going to say junkyard until you said none of your local one have any. junk yards around here have **** loads of recked intrepid(not the cars fault). 900 is that just for the harness or also installation of it? i don't see why you couldn't splice the wires together, except i highly doubt they sell only that one connector. you would probably still have to buy a full wiring harness.

o BTW sorry to hear about your misfortune.
