Default PCV Valve Dont's....

So, i figured that i would change my PCV valve, seeing a show I was changing my filter out to a K&N...looked up the part info, picked it off the shelf and...waitaminute, why is it THREADED?...hmmnn..look in the hayes manual....ahh, ok, it bolts in...THERE! HOLY CRAP! How am I gonna get a wrench in there?!? (back of the intake manifold, by the firewall) Ok, not a problem, not a problem...got it out, but broke a piece of the hose off while removing the old valve...call the parts store..."sorry, we don't carry that part"...call the delaer.."sorry, the parts dept. is closed today"...ok...got 2 feet of heater hose of the same diameter from autozone...put the new valve in, torqued it down...*CRUNCH*!!!!...uh-oh...that did not sound good...might want to back it off a little and inspect...*CRUNCH!CRACK!*...NOOOOOO!!!!!! IT SNAPPED OFF!!!!...well...maybe we can use an easy-out....nope, not working....tearing up plastic....perhaps cut some grooves with a dremel tool...how am I gonna get the tool AND the mirror back there?....grumblegrumble....hope I don't screw up the intake....ok, hand me the chisel and the wrench...IT MOVED!!!!! YAY!!!!!...ok, got it out (5 HOURS LATER!!!)...put 2nd new one in...threads ok....car runs...WE IN BUSINESS!!!!

moral of the story is: DON"T OVERTORQUE YOUR PCV VALVE!!!!!!

How far in is it supposed to go, anyway? The manual is not really clear on that.
