Default Intrepid O2 sensor shorted to high voltage

I've got an '02 Intrepid ES (3.5L V-6 w/ 36,500 miles) and have recently gotten an OBD code P0152 (2/1 O2 sensor shorted to voltage; oxygen sensor input voltage sustained above normal operating range). My car also feels of slight misfiring while idling (yes, my spark plugs/coils are newly replaced). I've tried replacing the 2/1 oxygen sensor but i found out that wasnt the problem. So I took it to the dealership, and they ended up having it for 5-6 hours (but only looked at it for maybe 30 minutes), and ended up telling me that they didnt find what the issue was but that they update my Powertrain Control Module... and still charged me $97. The check-engine-light went away from that, until a week later with the same code. I'd hate to take it back to the dealership with little certainty of this thing getting fixed and still paying for it. Im sure i just have a small wiring problem but tracing it will be very hard i think (plus not knowing if i can fix it myself). Any advice?.... or possible solutions? What the hell would cause a high input voltage like this? and can this put a lot of wear on the cat-convertor if not fixed soon? Thank ya much.
