Car dies at hi rev
hello gang, I am new on the board. My name is Ariel.
I just bought a 1999 Intrepid with the 2.7. My problem is that my car dies out at wide open throttle o hi revving. Under acceleration, I can reach about 3500RPM and then the car SLOWLY dies out. The problem appears to be electrical. I don't think it's the feul pump because the car only has 96K miles. The are NO TROUBLE CODES. That's what bothers me. Once the car dies out, it doesn't stat again. If I keep cranking, I get lucky, it can take 5 minutes or 5 hours. Then it stats up again. I took it to the dealer, they said the would have to take the engine apart because they cant find it. I think they didn't want to trouble shoot. Maybe they thought it was too hard and there were other cars to fix. As long as I don't rev high, car works fine. Any hints?
