Hi all,

My wife has a 99 Intrepid with a 2.7L and 191,000 miles. I bought it from an auction a month ago and all was goin well. I noticed the tranny would not go into "L" on the shifter, but it ran fine. For the past few days, it has been tough to get into park....And today it would not go into Park at all..It was stuck in "L" now. The sifter cable won't move at all.. So I go under the car and with a long screwdriver..I get the car to gofrom "L" to"R" on the shifter with a bit or force, but would not go into "P"..So I put a bit more pressure on the screwdriver and "BAM" the shifter cable snaps and it goes into "P"[:@] Could it be as simple as a binding shifter cable? It was over Full with tranny fluid when I got it, so I changed it and filled it to the correct level.. The OBDII did show a code of...I believe it was 700and 740 a few days after I bought it.. Any ideas.... Much appericate any help
