After seeing that a SilverStar is the same color temp as a regular bulb after 3 months I gave up on that crap and just use regular bulbs now.

I had my original bulbs in about a year then pulled them for SilverStars. After one blew 3 months later I put an ORGINAL bulb with one year on it back in and no color/brightness difference at all. Never again. SURE they were awesome at first but loose their effectiveness and thus found it to be waste of money.

Just stick with good 'Ol reiable $7-8 bulbs.

I heard a long time ago that the higher intensity bulbs are more delicate and more suseptible to going bad if you are hitting alot of bumps or maybe have stiffer suspension...

had an old Hyundai that had a bad suspension, tried putting some higher intensity bulbs in and they went bad like really fast... just cuz the car would really bang over the bumps due to the bad suspension...had to put regular bulbs in and they lasted till I got rid of the thing...
