The dynomax bullet mufflers are also good. It has a straight through design like the glasspack. You can get these from summit or jegs.

Yea i think they will. All it's a muffler and mufflers make the exhaust softer. I Live in florida and we dont do emissions anymore. The last time we Emissions testing was like when i was 6. im 17 now

wow thats pretty cool. Whenever i search for glasspack emissions or legal glasspacks to find out (mostly truck forums come up) but the thing that most people say is that they are legal if it does not exceed the decibel limit.

If inspectors at emissions testing notice the glasspack then you automatically fail. (only one preson said that tho)

Sorry to sound stupid/repetitive, but what exactly do glass packs do? I mean, from this thread I'm under the impression that they just make your exhaust quieter, is that right? Also, is that all it does?

when in doubt - wiki! (At least its a start)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasspack

As far as I know, they tune the sound of your exhuast to be smoother (at least in the srt-4 exhaust case) but they are more aggressive and somewhat louder sounding. They are pretty cheap and have fiberglass inside to muffle noise, but the fiberglass eventually disintegrates due to heat. It is basically a choice of preference between a performance muffler and a glasspack. Some people say that glasspacks can actually reduce top end power but idk. To see the difference of a glasspack on sxt / srt-4 exhaust check out the videos posted earlier by Graphite.

Heres my story about how I came to get a glasspack on my srt exhaust on my 04 sxt . I go up to my inlaws they live in a small town and the cops are horrible there and I got2 fix it tickets for my exhaust 1st ticket I can see with just runnin it with just the catback like mickey does on here and the 2nd time was for runnin it with the 2 resnators that come with it and my exhaust guy picked out the glasspack and he said that should make the cops happier and that did the trick . Shes somewhat tamed down and runs a bit better also . So yeah it quiet downs loud exhausts.
