No theres no modification needed for the srt-4 exhuast to fit the reg. neon. Alteast not for the rear section. I dont think SRT messed with theactual frame of the chassis of the car.

cool. and SRT exhausts are pretty common. youll probably be able to find one within driving distance if you prefer, or hit up the forums, as many SRT owners dump their exhaust in exchange for a 3"

 

I didnt have to modify my 04 sxt rear bumper and it doesnt lean on my bumper either . yeah srt forums is a good place to buy stuff but dont become a member they hate on us neon owners with srt stuff on our rides . Try ebay also some good deals on there.

 

lol i haven't had any problems with them so far. I checked out the for sale section and there are some nice looking srt-4's for sale. Only problem is location. Most of them are on the west coast. Cheapest one that I found was $12,000 OBO for a 2003 with 51,000 miles. Best SRT-4 for sale was a 2005 (i think) electric blue Stage 3R with toys and many, many other upgrades was being sold for $27,000 OBO. I did get a little hasseled when I was looking at them tho, things like "You ready to scrap that piece and get a real neon" but thats about it.

 

cool i found a wrecked srt and i was goin to get da engine but someone beat me to it so ima c wats up wit da exhuast if its damaged or not

 

Mine is just cocked a little bit, just cut some half circles so the exhaust doesn't melt the bumper.

 

I was checking out an old thread about srt-4 exhaust on a 2000 neon (i have an 2004) and most of the replys to that thread said that adding SRT-4 exhaust will actually decrease bottom end hp and one person said it would reduce top end power also. Does anybody know if it will actually reduce power or does it keep it the same or increase it?

 

increase top end. might decrease low end

 

is the difference noticable?
I don't think it would be, especially with a glasspack or other muffler.
