FMIC
I'm still lost at why you guys on here say to get a stock fmic from a srt-4 instead of like a SPEARCO monster intercooler for our 2nd gens....can anybody explain it to me nicely...im not knocking anybody just really dont understand why...i've heard bigger is always better b/c it will cool and condense more air...makes sense to me...
if you plan on putting a body kit (different front) on it, then a larger fmic wouldnt be a bad idea. but given the design of the 00-02 front bumper, the opening in the bottom is pretty much the size of the stock srt fmic. really wouldnt be a whole lot of piont in putting a huge fmic on there when half of its flow would be blocked by the bumper. although there are direc-fit fmics out there for the SRT that arent much larger but have better flow.
and the fittment issue spikey is correct... i could throw an 02 bumper on my srt and fit perfectly. but its not quite as easy as that the other way around. youll have to do a small amount of cutting to get it to all fit in there, but nothing too major.

bigger is NOT always better with a FMIC. The SRT-4 intercooler is under-rated. When Dodge did all thier testing with the stage 3 kit, it was all done with the stock intercooler. Meaning its good for at least 350whp.
