i took the top to my air filter box off because i read it make my neon way louder, and they were right, but now im just worried if its bad or will it damage anything not having it on
don't think it should matter... all the aftermarket short ram intakes are, is the intake tube with aircleaner on the end... just pretty colors and chrome. ... basically an air cleaner without the airbox
When I bought my neon it had ak&n cone filter inside the air box and I left the lid off. It will not cause a problem as long as you have the filter clamped on and it can't fall off.
