how much hp can you make from the 2.0 SOHC engine byputtng higher comp. ratio pistons, upgraded cam, intake kit, exhaust system, and header?

 

not much. it is difficult to ger around 190 hp out of the stock motor, and it will not be very street drivable. also, you will spend twice as much than you would as turboing it.

 

I think there is probably about a half dozen people who have cracked 200whp with sohc. I wouldn't bother trying to do it myself because it would cost too much to do. Turbo would be the easy way to hit that or exceed that. Unless you're set on all motor. But you should realize you will need a complete motor rebuild basically.

yes...nearly impossible with most standard incomes....the site moderator, neon god, 03neonrt says you even need your block race designed and blue printed....screw that...theres no way im spending money on my block...maybe porting the heads...but im not going that far as to fix up the block...i'd rather go turbo and forge my rods and pistons.

 

for the trouble just swap motors... or a turbo kit
