Default hmm

So do any of you know if a 98 engine block will fit a 2000 neon or what?

yea but you cant legally put in a motor that is older than the car that you drive........at least that is what i was told.....

I bought a Neon for $100 but it needs a block and i found one for like $300 but its a 98. What i want to do is get an SRT-4 engine and put it in and keep the exterior the same. Im having no luck in finding one though.

You should be able to find a 2nd gen shortblock for dirt cheap...you can usually find complete engines from $250-$500 also...the SRT-4 engine will cost around $3k give or take....

you dont want a 2003 or newer motor
some states don't inforce the engine swap laws so find how strict your state is about it
It also depends what you have for the car since the 1gn motor mounts are different so something like this might work better for you
