I raced a Mini Cooper S from a roll at a light. We were already rolling at about 25-30 mph and then the light turned green and I hit it in 2nd gear. He ended up walking me. The Cooper had an upgraded exhaust and that's all I saw from the outside. It was fun though.
Just figured I'd share.

 

all your mods and he still walked you?? do you have a auto or mtx??? I raced a eclipse today (the kind that has our 420A motor) and thought i would dust him bc my engine is newer and my mods but we ended up staying neck and neck on the interstate then i read his bumber...GSX lol

 

I'm an MTX just like the Cooper was.
The Cooper S comes stock with 200 hp.

I think I'm going to eventually take my car to the dyno and adjust the timing of my cam gear. This will be after I install my APEXi.

Cooper S-works come with more than 200 whp stock and weigh like 1500 lbs's... thats like putting an SRT-4 motor in the smallest geo you have seen.

The sad thing is, that an option on those is works is a supercharger I believe... not sure, havent looked at the site in a while. Those things are quick... i can't believe you actually raced it!

 

Dont feel bad dude, my friend SPANKED me and I was in front of him and I floored it about 3 seconds before he did. But, hes got a brand new GTI, nice car but.... Could be better. Plus my **** is auto, damn 6 speeds....

 

well haha, I raced a guy down here with a heavily built V6 camaro (pretty much every bolt on imaginable and a new cam), he stomped me before my cam and header install by a good 6 1/2 - 7 cars. We raced afterwards and he only got me by 3 cars. I felt better

 

good to hear freeride, I plan on waitin until I get my new car most likely an SRT4 (possibly Sti) but, then Imm put the Gti in its place. hopefully...
