Default sticky suggestion 03rt

ok I was thinking we should get a sticky that you list the code or problem you had and then say how fixed

for example
po401
changed the plugs and wires

sounds good to me. we need to update that list thats already up there, and each time someone fixes a problem we can update the list with a possible solution to the problem code

Reset negative battery switch everyday before leaving to school. I might also suggest resetting it before you go out so people don't think your car is worthless.

I'm up for it...but I'll need other peoples help gathering some of the code "fixes" that have already been covered since I wont have the time to do all of it myself. I will also look into a way of better "formatting" the sticky we already have so it will be easier to read as new fixes are added over time...

P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage

My car is throwing this code at the moemnt, well it has been for about the last 2 years. Anyhow, it is because my stock oil sender is unplugged. I have an oil PSI guage, however if you want to do it the a way that doesn't throw a code you can "T" off the block and put the stock sender in there and also your aftermarket sender in there. Or you can do what I did, remove the dummy oil light on your cluster and just watch your oil pressure guage. So if someones car is throwing this and they have not been messing around with the sending unit, that would mean it is probably bad or you have very low oil pressure.
