Default My day

Today I was on my way to church and my timing belt started slipping off my cam gear. It was making a bit of noise then later on the car lost power. The belt is still on the cam gear it's just not sitting completely on the gear. Other than that, my rebuilt transmission slipped twice in 5th gear. It slipped once on one trip and once on another. That's not good considering that the transmission was just rebuilt. I took my car back to my mechanic and he's gonna take the trans out and we're going to take it back where it was rebuilt. He's also going to look at my timing belt issue and hopefully he'll install my gauges and APEXi SAFC.
Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can order a better udp more suitable for my sound system. It's going to be the same size as the stock pulley but the same materials as the MPX.

My trip this morning worked out pretty good though. I planned on going to work at my studio after church so I ended up bringing some casual clothes with me. The guy I was going to work with ended up canceling the session before church. When I broke down, the car ended up loosing power right by a fellow church members street. After coming to a stop on the street, I ended up changing clothes and getting comfortable. I ended up waiting about 4 hours on his patio. I just read a book, chilled out, and enjoyed the breeze. The weather was actually nice today. Normally someone would have their phone on but today that wasn't the case. I just kept sitting down thinking they would call me any minute and it took longer than I expected. I didn't want to call someone way out the way b/c I thought my family close to me would call back any minute. They stayed at church longer than usual b/c it was a special occasion.
Where I broke down was out in the country. Everything could have been a lot worse.

that sucks. ESPECIALLY the part about the rebuilt tranny sounds very funky to me and it needs to go back for sure to get "re-rebuilt".

Also, what are you doing with that UDP that you have? If you want I can pay you for it (it is used and I trust that you didn't destroy it)...

and what gauges did you get? air/fuel? oil pressure?

i had a rough day wit my car also, i recently changed da oil and air in my car. well like a dumba** i forgot to put da oil filler cap back on, well i was drivin to hollywood video to return a movie wen all of a sudden my steering got stiff. well i parked and i poped my hood and i notice da cap was gone. den i look at my powersteering pulley and da belt was gone. i looked under da car and i found da filler cap all meshed up. then i found da belt all ripped up. so i walked 4 miles to my nearest autozone ( everyone i can think of was busy) and bought a new belt and cap. i dont have no tools in my car to put a powersteerin belt so i drove home w/o powersteering and it was a pain and i put da belt on and then i went fishing to relax and forget wat just happend

I have the AFX udp.

When I'm ready to sell, I'll post it up. Those udps don't wear out. It'll still look brand new once I clean it up. It's just not suitable for me and my sound system.

I ended up getting the AEM air/fuel gauge and the oil gauge.

It's a dual pillar gauge pod.

The other udp out there is the unorthodox udp. That's similar to the AFX but the Unorthodox udp is more expensive.
