Default power steering problems

well let me start off by sayin how a ruff day i had. i worked a 10 shift 2day and i just wanted to drive around 2day after work since my buddy came down for vacation from da marines. well 2day we were driving to go to da movies wen all of a sudden i hear like im picking up rocks. i was going to do a u-turn wen my steering got stiff, well i park in a parking lot and i pop my hood and i noticed dat my powersteering pump pulley is all fu***d up. and i dont kno wat happend and my belt was gone. i dont kno wat happend and now i have to get up early tomorrow and go to autozone and buy a new pulley and belt. but i got one question: wen u put on a powersteerin belt there is an adjustable pulley, well is dat suppose 2 touch da powersteering pulley at all? cuz its touching but im not sure if its suppose to or not. a while bak i messed up my pump by doing "donuts" and i changed da pump. now im pissed cus dis happened. has anyone ever had powersteering problems?

Sounds like your tensioner failed, threw the belt, then damaged your pulley.

They make a special puller that is used to remove the power steering pulley...I believe you can rent them out at Autozone...as for the tensioner, it cant be fixed if it has failed, but it can be replaced.
