The problem with the turbo company is that Im all the way in Seattle.
Believe me, Id love to do it, but Im gonna play the whole turbo thing by ear for the moment.
Would an automatic be really that fun turboed, anyway?

Again if your going to swap out to a manual would make more sense on doing the srt turbo and tranny swap .Would be alotmore fun on having the srt turbo in the process. I would do it if I was you . But Im happy with my auto for now . Good luck on whatever you do.

I would love to do the srt..... but i am getting all the prts i need for the manuel swap for about $900. to do the srt swap i need at least $4000. And Being 23, married w/ two kids and just moved across the country...... money is pretty tight. I think i am just gunna get this swap done, get my body work and paint and be done with the neon. Make it a nice fun family car. I looking to find a Dune Buggy Frame so i can drop my spare 2.0 in it, and just have that as a toy.
P.S. Any parts list anyone?

Not sure where you're from, but I know in southeast Michigan and Ohio we had an assload of late-model junkyards, and many of the vehicles were actually in great shape (some weren't even wrecked). You knowif all you were looking for was just a swap from ATX/MTX, you could find a half-decent car in the junkyard and buy the whole damn car for $200-$500... then invite over some car-conscious friends and make a weekend of it swapping parts and then tada.

1. What year Tranny's can i use?
2. Is thier any custom fabrication that has to be done?
3. For the 2003 i will have a Hydro Cluch correct?
4. Who's gunna come help? (just playin!!)

Heres a basic list of parts you'll be looking to buy, most of them will be used, becuase new parts will cost A LOT of money...transmission (3.55 or 3.94), modular clutch, passenger side axle, clutch master and slave cylinder, shifter cables and clips, tranny side motor mount from a manual transmission 2nd gen, MTX PCM from your year car, shifter and shifter base, clutch and brake pedal assembly from a 2nd gen.

2. There shouldnt be any custom fabrication required for the swap.
3. All 2001-2005 Neons have a hydraulic clutch systems.
