SOHC Tube Leak
I own a 2000 Dodge Neon SE with the SOHC engine. A while back ago I started doing a tune-up on it getting it ready for a trip to the beach. When I went to change my spark plugs I noticed that the tubes were leaking oil. Naturally I assumed it was the tube seals that seat on the top of the tubes on the valve cover. But, after further insecption it seems that the oil is seeping from the bottom of the metal tubes where they meet the head. 3 of the four show little to no seeping. The fourth seems to have a pool of oil in it at all times. My question; is there some kind of seal that is at the bottom of the tubes? If not what could be causing this leaking? I did notice that the fourth tube was loose so I pressed it back and it seems to drop a little bit back into place. Any help will be a great help as I am wanting this fixed before I goto the beach, so I dont have to worry the whole way down! Thanks again!
I hope you werent referring me to the question about the tube seals, because I have already read that and that is not my problem. Is possibly something else on that page I over looked? The oil is seeping from the bottom of the metal tubes, not from the top through the tube seals. :-)
The tube is threaded into the head... your seal is leaking. By a new valve cover gasket... they usually come wit the tube seal.

Really? I didnt know it was threaded. Well I wonder if that is why it is seeping in the first place.. Thanks for the reply but your link to the pdf file is broken, could you repost the link please?
