I have a stock alarm on my 2000 Neon. Lately the alarm has been going off without provocation. I turn it off and 30 mins later it does it again. It's been doing it now for about 3 weeks. Also When I'm driving, the dome light goes on and off and the doors unlock and lock what seems like constantly during the ride. Has anyone else experienced anything like this and if so what info can you give me on fixing this problem? Thanks.

 

poltergiest!? did you checked the relays and fuses?

 

I'm pretty much car ignorant, but I did manage to find the relay. I disconnected it and left it overnight. I reconnected this morning and so far no issues. Hopefully that did the trick permanently. If not I'll be hiring "Tangina" tomorrow!!

 

My stock alarm is a POS. I'm going to get a new one. This thing sometimes doesn't unlock and then it starts honking like crazy until i turn the accessories on.

 

lolo did you re plug the relay back is it a neon alarm or aftermarket so i can have a better pic in my brain
