Default Exhaust swap?

hey guys.. my buddy has a pretty nice looking dual tip pipe im gonna buy off him for $20..
http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2439A0A0.aspx
its similar to that..
What im woundering is should i throw it on.. i know the stock muffler and pipe are in there sideways.. so i dunno how this will fit and i know if i need to bend the pipe then i will be losing power..

So what do you guys think i should do.. and how hard is it to do?

thanks

I would say if it was free, go ahead and experiment, but seems like you'd have to do alot of cutting and bending, and it would probably get messed up before it would fit.

I had an idea like that, was wondering if I could find maybe one of these... used on the old late 70's Firebirds... they had one on each side, comin out the back with the tips pointed down.
.... (hard to find fora reasonable price tho...)

but I thought just one, stuck on the end of the stock exhaust, with the tips pointed straight out, toward the back (would have to like cut off the stock tip about halfway to make it straight enough to slip this over and secure tho...)

...and I would think there would be very little loss of power or back pressure when yer dealing with just the tip of the exhaust, right?

i dunno.. but with teh exhaust i bought (im hopping to get some pics of it this week b4 i get home) its got about 6" of pipe on one side of the muffler.. then on the other sides its the tips.. so im just woundering if like i should cut my whole muffler off and then reattach this (if it will be on the side).. if not then i dont think im gonna put it on as i think itd be a waste to bend the pipe and lose power!!

i wouldnt do it. i would save up and get an exhaust system. magnaflow is good in my opinion..lol

the tips just look ricey on cars. and dont remove the muffler to put this on you will not gain anything other then a really loud (read that illegal) exhuast

Yeah I dont really like those tips either...save up and buy an R/T or SRT-4 rear section or some other kind of dual setup IMO.
