I have a weird noise coming from the hood it sounds like when not accelerating.

For example, I noticed that a loud humming noise sometimes happens when not applying the gas. Sometimes when breaking sometimes when not breaking.
I can be going 10mph, 20, 30, etc and the noise will start sometimes not always.

When it does start making noise and I apply the gas, the noise will stop.

can it be the accelerator? i already did an oil change. could it be a dirty air filter? perhaps transmission fluid?

 

depends which rpm range your in, cuz i think that our cars have a noise at certain rpm ranges. if that makes sense.

 

that makes sense but this is not a normal noise and wasn't happening before.

it happens at many different speeds...

what could be causing this noise?
