HEY GUYS, HEEELLLPPP!!!, MY FRONT BRAKES SQUEAKING ARE DRIVIN ME CRAZY, I NEED TO CLEAN THEM. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME INSTRUCTIONS TO DISSASSEMBLE MY CALIPERS? ALSO, ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMEDY THE NEON'S SQUEAKY BRAKE PROBLEM???? O, AND CAN YOU REMOVE THE RED IN YOUR TAIL LIGHTS, OR IS IT THE ACTUAL COLOR OF THE HOUSING??? REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP.

 

well the neon squeaky brakes problems is in the rear drums, so if your fronts are squeaking, you need new pads. jack the car up, take the wheel off, take the 2 bolts off the back holding the caliper to the hub (10mm i think) and take them off. install is reverse of that. and no you cant take the red out of the tails

 

o, ****, so cleaning the front brakes really won't help the prob then? i thought it was maybe brake dust caught in the calipers

 

no if they are squeaking then you need new pads... so head over to an autoparts store and buy urself some cheapies and you are all set.... but it wont hurt to clean off the brake rotor with some brake cleaner while you are replacing the pads.... so yea have fun!

 

You can change out the rear drums to pads. But that's about as fun as going to the dentist.

Actually almost every mod in this cramped, compact car is much like going to the dentist. It's a pain in the ***.
