You got that fenderwell wall. damnit I need to get something like that. My cai rubs when I reverse or make huge turns. damn ebay. It doesn't jiggle or anything and clears the tire well.

What gun did you use? I'm looking into learning how to paint. I know you need a compressor and the clear and such...

not with paintworld... they send you a nice case of:

No mixing. It all comes to you pre-mixed. However, you have to treat it as if it were from a spray gun. Light coats. Its car paint, and it WILL match the car... just make sure you order the right paint. LOOKS GOOD!!!

You can buy primer, the paint itself, and the clear coat.

Oh so you didnt buy the primered kit? I'll probably just order two cans of paint and two cans of clear coat just to be safe, even though I wont be painting skirts. Any tips to getting a good finish besides a bunch of light coats?

eh, I bought what I could!! They only had blaze red and black and yellow. I Purchased the blaze red, I sanded off the clear coat and used the old red as a base and primered over it. Then I layed down MY red and finished it with clear. The Lip Kit is made out of meterial that is VERY hard to paint without a basecoat that is already stuck to the meterial. I recommend doing the same thing if your painting it yourself.

There are a couple tips

1.)Get a good compund (like alcohol) to clean off the parts before painting, and keep them as clean as possible.
2.)If you are doing it in your garage like I did, pull all the cars out and take a hose to the garage floor and the driveway. This seriously limits the amount of dust and static electricity. I also used an aircompressor with an airnozzle to spray off dust that would land on the peice in-between shooting.
3.) Paint the edges first (use light coats and go over them a few times), and after the edges dry (DRIES FAST!!!) paint the body of parts.
4.) When spraying the clear coat make sure you spray it away from the other parts, the spray is kinda icky (as in it spits out some gunk) and it can over-spray onto the other parts effectively making the piece look "foggy" or "un-shiney."
5.) Take your time, light coats, let each coat set before laying down another coat (like 5 minutes). Let the paint set for atleast 25-30 minutes before shooting the clear.

Correction: They never sold the Lip Kit in solar yellow since it was a discontinued color. (I really wish they had though!!!! [:@] [:@])
