My first post and I feel... Well anyways since I've registered here I have been reading and basically catching up on things I didn't know. Since I have read most of the CAI questions and answer's I went ahead and bought a cheapo ebay one with a K&N Filter, however the pipe only has one hole for the sensor. It does not have the other welded piece for the silicone hose that goes to the vent hose I believe. So I guess what I'm asking is if this is ok, or would I have to mess with it and put one in? I took that hose off and put a breather on it. Cost me $10 bucks and adds about 35 whp

 

Wow, dat was quick! Where did you purchase it? If I were to put the CAI on without the tube connected would it mess anything up?

 

I don't believe so. I just threw a breather on there.

They can be found at any automotive store. They're no more than 10 bucks. I see them at Autozone, Pep Boys and stuff. They come in different colors too.




They look like that. My CAI didn't come with that extra hole for it either.

I don't know if it messes up anything, my car always runs like ***.

 

lol, I knew I'd seen them before, they sounded very familiar. Alright then I guess its off to autozone! O and uhh your's came with the crappy brackets to I'm guessing right? I need to work on that as well[X(]

 

Yeah I made my own "CUSTOM" bracket. I'll post up some pics of it when it stops F&##% raining. Hydrolock ftl.

But it looks really ghetto. But atleast it mounts the throttle body and keeps it mounted higher. I've been having a problem with it rubbing.
