Default cat and engine

ok, quick question. my cat was clogged a while back, and since then, I am a little worried if drivingwith it cloggedhurt the engine. Any serious problems? The only driving I did was around town. thanks guys

How long did you drive it like that? There shouldnt have been any permanent damage, but it would have seriously hurt the performance of the engine...

Are you noticing any problems since you had it fixed?

a few months or so. no problems yet, but just wondering what i should to expect if anything

cool, thanks. Just to be safe, i think i am gonna get a tune-up and keep an ear out for pings and sputters and what not.I am tired of going to pep boys,would a independent mechanic be better?
