SRT-4 dual exhaust quick question
I did the same thing bought the whole exhaust off craigslist for $65 , but I only used the rear section, but I did put a magnaflow resonatorinto it. The exhaust shop let me start it up after he removed the stock muffler, Pretty obnoxiusly loud. But after he installed the resonator and the rear section, it was toned down quiet a bit. Sounds great, the only complaint I have is the drone inside the car on the highway. Its better with the windows down, but since im in hells living room (Phoenix, AZ) Id rather deal with the drone and enjoy the ac.
A cheap glasspack is basically the same thing as all the shiny polished fart-cans that you see hanging off the back of Hondas... but the original glasspack wasn't made to be seen, it just costs $20 and is not polished... but has the same straight-through design with (what used to be fiberglass mesh) steel packing around the outside with a hole-poked tube running through the center holding it all together. It's like carpeting your living room... the mesh or "pack" cuts down on the echo and absorbs the sound waves.
Most on here that have the srt exhaust have the cherrybombs because they are cheap and I think they have a cheap sound to them also . I love my real best you can get glasspack on my srt exhaust gives her a nice mean tone.
I want an exhaust for mine as well... Friend of mine works at a dodge dealer and said he can get me an dual exhaust set up for the SXT for under $220 dealer cost???No way I'm spending 600 + on a damn borla exhaust!!!
Where the heck do you guys add the glasspack to? In that pic of the exhaust it looks like there's 2 mufflers inline together that come off the cat?
