I was about to install one of the back door sensor with a new one that I bought. When I took it out I noticed that there is some blueish paste on it. My question is "Do I have to put some more of that paste on the new or will it be ok without it?"

Oh, and what is it and where can I get some more?

 

No. replaced mine a year ago also and didnt put anytin just put it on.

 

Yeah, I replaced mine last night. I don't know what that paste is for but what I did was squeezed the black connector and gently pulled the sensor and it came right out. Then I slipped the new sensor all the way in until it snapped and locked. Very easy!!
