A few weeks ago I changed my spark plugs and ignition wires and since my car has been ideling around 500 RPMs. But when I turn my wheels while at a stopI notice that my carjumps to 1000 RMPs. I put some NGK silver plugs in and magnacore 8 1/2mm wires. Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it possible that because I reset thecars computer that it's just realigning itself or something else?All of my connections are fineand getting spark.

 

I'm not sure where you live, but in warm weather the car will not idle high... It does not need to. Also, when you turn your tire the power steering pump is putting strain on the motor, so the motor compinsates by giving more RPMs. If it did not jump up like that the motor would stall out.
