Hi everyone. I want to know if the hood changed from one year to another in the 2nd Gen Neon,specially after 2003 with the new front. I've been reading the threads in here but Im getting mixed messages (or maybe I just didn't get it) where some say that 03+ hood have slightly diferent lenght (because of the new grille and headlights) and others say that all 2nd Gen Neon have the same hood.
I called the dealer today and asked him if the hoods were diferent and he told me they were. So I just dont know who's right. Im particularly interested in this because I need to buya new hood for a 2004 SXT, but I need to buy it locally at a junk yard since I live in El Salvador and buying from the US would be deadly to my wallet from expensive shipping.
(I know there's a diference in SRT hoods, but Im interested just on SE and SXT hoods)

 

absolutely 0 change in hoods from 2000-2005

 

The 2000-2005 SOHC Neon hoods are all the same...the 00-02 hoods are rumored to be slightly longer (less then 1/4") and the 2000 is a little more "pointy". But you cant really tell any of those differences and they wont affect fitment...

 

whatever ever-so-slight differences there may be, it would be hard as hell to tell them apart.
