Default Steering Wheel Swap

Well, did my read over on 2gn on how to swap it, pretty sure I can do it myself with some time and paypal haha.

But i have a q. Has anyone here done it before? My 2002 HAS cruise control but it doesn't work for some reason. I can push the cruise button and the light comes on but it doesn't SET. So i'm guessing something is wrong with the wiring.

But if I go to a 2003 steering wheel with a $20 transformers badge (...) I will lose my cruise control forever, right?

I kinda don't care but yeah. Any input on this would help me like hell!

edit: sweet they don't make transformers steering wheel badges! and lemon/shrimp ramen tastes like crap.

I'm pretty sure you need the clock spring as well when you do the swap...as for cruise control, since it doesnt work now (its problaby just a broken switch inside the stalk), it wont work after the swap...but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work if it did in the first place. As far as I know, the only difference between the different cruise controls are the stalks themselves, and how they mount up to the steering wheel...the wiring itself should be the same. So if you wanted to keep the cruise you would just need to buy the cruise for a 03+ Neon...

I have no idea what the hell the clock spring is, or where to get it or nothing. I noticed all the airbags had the center part missing, i'm assuming this is such "spring".

So yeah...I guess i'm going to lose my cruise control. I hope this isn't too expensive for all of it.

Gotta check the junkyard apparently there was one wrecked from the rear bad.

no doubt, instead of trading my 01 back in 04, coulda just kept it, added the bumpers and lights, steering wheel and picked up an extra motor. i would have sill come out at least 5k ahead.

I found the steering wheel, but I can't find the damn airbags and I really have no idea where to get 'em. Anyone got some links??
